Central hub for login, installation, updates and game launch. The launcher checks versions, downloads files and can repair damaged installations.
Features & modules
BrickHub combines launcher, online backend, Build Mode, multiplayer and future shooter matches into an independent platform with a clear structure and original style.
Players can create, edit and save custom maps using blocks. Size, height, material and environment form the basis for custom arenas.
Build Mode changes are synchronized between players. Placed and removed blocks appear in the same world state for connected clients.
Maps can be saved and loaded later. Joining players receive the current state through a snapshot system.
BrickHub includes a battery system with its own UI. Batteries can be managed, charged and used in Build Mode.
After the Build Mode foundations, created maps will be used in Play Mode with spawns, weapons, hit detection, health, armor and respawn.
The backend manages accounts, logins, versions, player data, friends and online status. Launcher and game communicate through the BrickHub API.
Player states such as Online, AFK, In Game and Offline are managed through a heartbeat system. Friends list and social menu prepare shared play.
BrickHub is planned around a dedicated server model with room creation, master API and separate game server processes.
Blocks, UI, icons and assets follow a simple, clear BrickHub style with readable shapes and consistent visual language.
Development progress is documented through devlogs. The Discord community is used for feedback, updates and future testing.
More modes, functional objects, map publishing, ratings, downloads and additional social systems are planned.
BrickHub is actively developed. Some features are already functional internally, while others are planned or being prepared for future builds. Values, scope and priorities may change during development.
