Privacy Policy

We take the protection of personal data seriously. This privacy policy explains how personal data is processed on this website and, where relevant, in connection with BrickHub launcher and game systems.

2. General data processing

We process personal data only when technically required, when necessary for requested functions or when you voluntarily provide it. Data is not sold and is not shared with third parties unless legally required or necessary for the requested service.

3. Legal bases

Processing may be based on legitimate interest in secure and stable operation, contractual or pre-contractual services such as accounts and launcher functions, or consent where required.

4. Hosting / server operation

The website is currently operated on a self-managed server in Germany. If external infrastructure is used later, this policy will be updated accordingly.

5. Server log files

The web server may automatically store technical information such as browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, IP address, time of request and requested files. This is used for security, attack prevention and technical stability.

6. User account, login and launcher

The BrickHub Launcher may process account data such as username, email address, password hash, authentication tokens, session data, version information and launcher status. This is required to provide login, updates, downloads, repair functions and game access.

7. Steam linking

If Steam linking is used, a Steam identifier may be stored to connect a BrickHub account with a Steam account. Authentication is handled through Steam/OpenID where applicable. Steam remains responsible for its own data processing.

8. Online features, friends, chat and presence

BrickHub may process data required for online features, such as friends lists, friend requests, presence status, heartbeat data, online/offline state, in-game activity, chat messages and moderation-relevant information.

9. Game and map data

For game functions, BrickHub may store map data, creator information, map names, downloads, ratings, ownership or registration data and technical session data. This is required for map management, multiplayer sessions and future community features.

10. Contact

If you contact us by email, your message and contact details are stored for the purpose of processing the request. This data is not passed on without consent unless legally required.

11. Cookies and external content

The website currently does not intentionally use analytics or advertising tracking. External links such as Steam or Discord lead to third-party platforms with their own privacy policies.

12. Storage period

Personal data is stored only as long as required for the respective purpose or as long as legal retention obligations apply.

13. Rights of data subjects

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability and objection. Requests can be sent to support@brick-hub.de.

14. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to contact a competent data protection supervisory authority.

15. Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy may be updated when BrickHub features, infrastructure or legal requirements change.
